Job Summary
The MEP Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at construction sites. The role ensures
that MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
- Prepare shop drawings and technical submittals.
- Ensure MEP works align with project timelines and milestones.
2. Installation & Execution
- Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical systems, fire fighting systems, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with approved drawings.
- Resolve technical issues at site.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP works comply with local building codes and safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and prepare quality reports.
- Verify materials delivered to site meet specifications.
4. Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Coordinate third-party inspections when required.
- Prepare handover documentation and as-built drawings.
5. Cost & Documentation Management
- Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for MEP works.
- Track material usage and site progress.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain proper documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.

3–8 years of experience in construction projects (Residential / Commercial / Industrial).

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.

Knowledge of local construction codes and standards.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-rise or large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools.
- Certification in MEP or PMP (preferred).
